THE ARTIST
Katsumi Matsuzawa-Zarich was born on the Caribbean island of Cuba to a Cuban mother and Japanese father spending the majority of her adolescence living in Tokyo, Japan, Katsumi’s inspiration for her work can be traced back to her Asian cultural upbringing, with subtle touches of Caribean influence hidden in each piece. Her art ranges from contemporary and modern, to colorful and bold pop pieces.
Katsumi’s style of art is continuously evolving and can be best categorized as fluid, reflecting and mimicking the female energy that every woman possesses.
